Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT Do not post a HJT log if you have not completed ALL the steps in the READ ME FIRST. Then install it and unzip HJT to the proper folder as given below in my instructions for using and posting HJT logs. You need to download and install a tool like WinZip to be able to recognize ZIP files. Had you followed the instructions, you would be able to see the file extension was not correct and could not execute. You are clicking on a ZIP file not and EXE file. See step 3 of the Getting Prepared section and follow it properly. You did not follow the READ ME FIRST properly. ![]()
